About Jason

Although Jason has played many wonderful human roles, he is most proud of his growing menagerie of animals. He has appeared as a lab mouse, a tortoise and a “memorable duck” (New York Times) with Medicine Show Theatre, a scorpion in The Quest of Gilgamesh, a cat in Dylan Thomas’ Under Milk Wood, a monkey in David Ives’ Words, Words, Words a demon-lizard in Little Boy (the epic rock fable) a white stag in C. S. Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and a glittery, naked elephant in Prince Trevor Amongst the Elephants.

Jason has also played many human characters in films, in print and on television. Notable films include Tomorrow Never Comes (Heavylight Digital Award for Best Picture 2002) and Simple Revenge (Grand Jury Prize Winner at Atlantic City Film Festival 2003). Jason’s favorite film role to date has been Frank Norwither in the short film noir The Case. He has appeared in many commercials, including L. L. Bean, Weight Watchers, Elderplan and Avaya cell phones, and has appeared on All My Children, One Life to Live, 100 Centre Street, Ed, and 30 Rock. So far, no animals on camera.
