The Five Stages of Self-Healing


Our bodies have the ability to heal themselves. Witness this every time you get a cut or a scrape on your skin and after a few months it has completely healed up and is back to normal. Of course, this healing process is not limited to your skin. All of your bodies cells and tissues crave being in a state of health and balance and will constantly seek out that state whenever they are given the opportunity.

This is the premise behind Nia's Five Stages of Self Healing technique. Each time you practice The 5 Stages, you reconstruct human evolution from the womb. You give your body a chance to start over and develop itself anew. The five stages are based on five stages of human development: Embryonic, Creeping, Crawling, Standing and Walking. Moving your body through this primordial journey will reeducate it on its ideal functionality and alignment. It will integrate your body and develop holistic strength and flexibility in the exact perfect proportions. The results are immediate and profound. You will feel different before the end of your first class. Most people report feeling more free, lighter and stronger within fifteen minutes.

Nia's Five Stages of Self Healing is a sensual, movement experience that takes place on the floor. The floor is cleaned before each class. For comfort's sake, it is recommended that you wear light, comfortable clothing that allows you full, free movement and that covers your body (i.e. long sleeve T-shirts and long sweat-pants are ideal). You will be asked to remove any jewelry or metal objects and not to wear clothes with exposed zippers, rivets, belt buckles, and the like. It is also advisable to wear soft knee pads. You can bring your own pads or rent or buy them from Jason in class.

Like Nia, this technique is totally comfortable and adaptable to anyone.
